Football, Link Lounges && Hookah Bars

On Friday, November 5, 2010, the University of Houston football team hosted an after party for their  game against The University of Central Florida at a club called the Link Lounge.  It was a close game but we lost in the end.  The game began at 7 pm and ended at about 10:30 pm.  While the flier for the after party advertised that ladies get in free before 11:30 pm.

My friends and I arrived at Link Lounge at 11:20 pm and we did not get in until 11:35 pm the girl at the register proceeded to ask us to pay $10 each to get in. After explaining to her that we were not going to do that when we were here in line on time, we began to walk out.  Then she asked "well what can y'all pay" she clearly didn't get the point that we we not paying.  So we left and headed to our plan b.

We went to Amir hookah bar on Westheimer and Dairy Ashford and had so much fun.  It's $10 for one hookah that is enough to be shared between four people.  They sell traditional Middle Eastern food like hummus as well as American food like hot wings.  We had both.  They have drink specials at the bar all night and a DJ that played all the right music.

We smoked hookah, drank, ate hummus and hot wings and danced.  I would highly recommend going there for a night out with the girls or the guys.  It's inexpensive and an overall good time.
